Straightpoint Bolt Tension Meter

The Crosby Straightpoint Bolt-On-Line-Tensiometer or BOLT is a lightweight wire rope tension meter or shunt tension meter for fast and accurate measurement of tensions up to 20,000lbf / 10,000kgf and up to 1.25” / 32mm diameter wire ropes.

The BOLT is designed to be mounted permanently or temporarily on wire rope or cable installations to monitor the tension and transmit the load via 2.4GHz signal to three options of the receiver:

LoadConnect - A base station allows connection to up to 16 BOLT load cells and transmits data via SMS messaging from any global location with 3G or 4G
SW-HHP - Handheld display with a wireless range of 1000m or 3280ft to up to four BOLTs
INSIGHT - Software multi-channel display and datalogging, connect 126 BOLTs within a wireless range of 700m or 2300ft
Sealed to IP67 or NEMA6 and constructed from aerospace-grade aluminium, the BOLT digital tensiometer is lightweight, easy to handle and operates on wires which are already under tension. Once installed it enables the operator to quickly check tension on cables or wire ropes set at any angle.

BOLT may be powered by the on-board AA batteries for up to 50 days of continuous measures at 3Hz or if needed to be fitted for longer periods or in remote sites may be powered via the LoadConnect base station via low voltage cables or solar battery pack solutions allowing for permanent power.

It is supplied inclusive of an SW-D dongle, to make on-the-spot calibrations to achieve greater accuracy of 2-3%; standard factory accuracy is 3-5%.
