The Process of Measuring Moisture
Moisture balances from Data Weighing Systems use the principle of thermal analysis. A sample can be heated at a user-defined temperature to allow differentiation according to the various bonding forms of water: surface water, capillary water and the more tightly bound water of crystallization. The actual detection of the water is subsequently carried out by an electrochemical sensor.
